Hi, I'm Lilijana Nicholls, candidate for Cockburn East Ward
I’m running for Council because I believe in proactive, community-focused leadership. As someone with a strong background in youth advocacy, science communication and government, I bring a new, youthful perspective to local issues.
I’ve spent years working alongside youth and volunteering to build stronger, more inclusive communities. I want to ensure Cockburn continues to be a vibrant, connected City where every voice is heard. I’m running to listen, to act, and to help make our East Ward the best it can be.

I would like to pay my respects to the Noogar people as the traditional owners of this unceded land, its waters and their connection to land, sea, sky and community. I acknowledge that colonial structures are still in place today, the struggle of First Nations people to seek justice, and the need to address our nation's past and take part in the collective healing process.
I would like to pay my respects to all Elders, past and present and to the young leaders within their communities.
